Dear lobster friends, welcome on our homepage about the lobster population around the rocky shores of the island of Helgoland (North Sea, 54°11.3'N, 7°54.0'E). This homepage was designed during the project "Preliminary studies of restocking the population of lobster around Helgoland 2005-2008" at the Biological Station on Helgoland, Alfred-Wegener-Institute of Polar- and Marine Research. Since 2008, the development conditions of the local stock were examined within a monitoring programme.
